Application rules:
Eligibility Requirements
Pianists of all nationalities born after October 17, 1993, are eligible to participate in the 76th Giovan Battista Viotti International Music Competition 2026.
Registration Deadline
The duly completed application form must be sent no later than July 12, 2026.
Online Registration Procedure
To register, simply register online on the Viotti Competition website: www.concorsoviotti.it. A confirmation email will be immediately sent, allowing access to the candidate’s personal page. Candidates can then complete the online form and attach the required files.
Required Application Materials
The application must be accompanied by the following documents:
1. The application form completed in full.
2. A copy of a document proving age, passport, or other equivalent document certifying the candidate’s age (.jpeg or .pdf format).
3. Curriculum vitae in essay form, in Italian or English (maximum 800 characters, please avoid accented letters in the online data field), attesting to studies completed, artistic activity performed, and any prizes in music competitions (.doc, .docx, .txt, .pdf format).
4. One or more artistic photographs of the candidate not covered by copyright (.jpeg file 300 dpi, longest side 10 cm).
5. The program of music chosen for the Competition, indicating the full titles of the works, the opus number, and the approximate duration of each piece.
6. The digital recording for the preliminary selection.
7. The payment receipt for the registration fee.
Registration Fee
The registration fee is fixed at 120 EURO. It must be sent via bank transfer (bank charges borne by the candidate) to the bank account registered to:

N.B.: In the case of bank transfers from abroad, the BIC code must be indicated in addition to the IBAN code.
The candidate must attach a copy of the registration fee payment receipt to the application form. Without this receipt, the registration will not be valid.

Repertoire.
The preliminary selection for admission to the final stages of the Viotti Competition 2026 is conducted through the examination of documents and the audition of a digital recording submitted by the candidates.
Recording for Preliminary
Selection All applicants must submit an unmodified version of a digital recording.
Pre-selection Program
The recording must contain a program lasting between 15 and 20 minutes, composed of:
I) One Etude chosen from those by Chopin, Liszt, Debussy, Scriabin, Rachmaninov, Bartok.
II) One or more pieces of the candidate’s choice. It is also permitted to present the first movement or multiple movements, including the first movement, of piano Sonatas.
The music chosen for the preliminary selection may also be used for the competition program.
Submission Procedure
Online registration: Uploading the video to YouTube (in the settings, you can select “unlisted” to allow viewing only to those with the video’s internet address). The description must indicate “Preselezione Concorso Viotti 2026” (Pre-selection Viotti Competition 2026), the recording date, and the program. The internet address must be indicated in the appropriate field of the online application form.
Admission Without Preliminary
Selection Winners of a first or second prize in Piano Competitions belonging to the World Federation of International Music Competitions in Geneva (WFIMC) are admitted without preliminary selection. The competitor must attach written documentation in this case.
