We plan to have three workshops in the 2023\/24 season &#8211; in October, February, and April. All of them will take place in Kyiv, at the VERE MUSIC HUB (21\/8 Malopidvalna St.). Each of them will end with a concert of participants and mentors.<\/p>\n<p>Participation in the project is free. So if you&#8217;ve been wanting to try playing new music but haven&#8217;t had the courage, this is the chance to finally get started.<\/p>\n<p>The first workshop starts on October 2. Over three days, from October 2 to 4, the participants will master one of the contemporary ensemble works written by American and European composers in recent decades: Julia Wolfe (USA), Ana Lara (Mexico), Jonathan Harvey (UK), Elliot Carter (USA), Franco Donatoni (Italy), George Apergis (Greece), and Salvatore Charrino (Italy).<\/p>\n<p>Open individual lessons and ensemble rehearsals with young musicians will be conducted by experienced mentors: Ihor Zavhorodnyi (violin, viola), Zoltan Almashi (cello), Nazarii Stets (doule bass), Nataliia Kozhushko-Maksymiv (flute), Artem Shestovskyi (clarinet), Igor Boychuk (trumpet), Maksym Tryanov (guitar).<\/p>\n<p>This work will result in the final concert, which will take place on October 5 at 19:00 also at VERE MUSIC HUB. Its priorities include creating a platform for creativity and exchange of ideas between professional musicians and popularizing new music in the Ukrainian cultural space.<\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p>VERE MUSIC FUND is a charitable foundation that provides grants to Ukrainian musicians to participate in international competitions and master classes, supports music competitions in Ukraine, and implements festival projects and educational initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>VERE MUSIC HUB is a space for young musicians and listeners. It consists of an upper hall with 100 seats for concerts, recordings, master classes, lectures, etc., and a lower rehearsal hall.
