Classes are held without an audience, but students, teachers, and professional musicians are welcome to come and listen to their colleagues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">The list of active participants of the master class will be made public, and the schedule of classes will be sent to all registered participants 1-2 days before the master class.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">The master class is part of the VERE MUSIC ACADEMY program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Selection of active participants based on videos. The video must be recorded after April 1, 2025. We will announce this information 1-2 days before the master class.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">* * *<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Latvian classical concert pianist Andrejs Osokins is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and Trinity College of Music in London<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">He is laureate of several piano competitions, including the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv, the Long-Thibaud International Competition in Paris, the Leeds International Piano Competition and the Queen Elisabeth International Piano Competition in Brussels.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Andrejs\u2019 performance diary has included recitals in many high profile recital venues including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Great Hall of Konzerthaus Berlin, Frankfurt\u2019s Alte Oper; Milan\u2019s La Verdi concert hall, National Concert Hall in Dublin, Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, the St Martin-in-the-Fields and Kings Place concert hall in London, Gasteig concert hall in Munich, La Monnaie concert hall in Brussels, Opera Comique in Paris and the Symphony Hall in Birmingham.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Andrejs has had the honor of performing with prestigious orchestras including the Orchestre National de Belgique, conducted by Marin Alsop, the Hall\u00e9 orchestra with Sir Mark Elder, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France with Darrell Ang, the London Philharmonic orchestra with James Judd, the Sinfonietta Riga Orchestra conducted by Normunds \u0160n\u0113, collaboration with Kremerata Baltica orchestra and Boian Videnoff in Frankfurt Alte Oper as a part of the Messe Frankfurt, performance with Qatar Philharmonic orchestra and Maestro Pablo Mielgo, performances with Latvian National Orchestra under the button of Andris Poga and Vassily Sinaisky.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">He has worked with many celebrated pianists, including Paul Badura-Skoda, Christopher Elton, John Lill, Domenique Merlet, Arie Vardi, Bernd Goetzke, Boris Berman, Willem Brons, Rolf Hind, Stephen Kovacevic, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Volker Banfild, Jonti Solomon and Martino Tirimo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">His frequent stage partners include sopranos Marina Rebeka, Inese Galante, string ensemble \u201cKremerata Lettonica\u201d, actors Gundars Aboli\u0146\u0161, Dita L\u016bri\u0146a to name a few.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Mr. Osokins is the founder and artistic director of the annual \u201cOsokins Freedom Festival\u201d in Latvia, an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM) in London and Fellow of Trinity college of music (FTCM) in London.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">The pianist has released two solo studio albums \u2013 \u201cDedication\u201d featuring music by Liszt and Schumann (publisher \u201cDUX Recording Producers\u201d), \u201cTwo Worlds\u201d that includes piano music by Debussy and Gershwin (publisher \u201cPrima Classic\u201d), one live album \u201cOsokins Andrejs | Pianist \u2014 Live\u201d (publisher \u201cInternational Piano Forum\u201d) and album \u201cStardiving\u201d, featuring Andrejs Osokins original piano compositions. He has also released an album with his brother Georgijs and father Sergejs Osokins \u2013 \u201cThe Three Osokins in Latvian Piano Music\u201d and \u201cI Berzs, i Smilgas\u201d together with mezzo-soprano Ieva Par\u0161a (both \u2013publisher \u201cSkani\u201d). His album \u201cTwo Worlds\u201d was nominated for the prestigious Opus Klassik Award in four nominations, including \u201cThe Best Instrumentalist of the Year\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">From 2015, Andrejs became a member and an organizer of the \u201cThree Osokins\u201d piano dynasty project, which had become one of the most significant concert events in Latvian classical music scene. In 2015, three piano virtuosi of Osokins dynasty: brothers Andrejs and Georgijs and their father professor Sergejs Osokins played together for the first time for the fully packed Dzintari concert hall in J\u016brmala and the next year their concert in Latvian National Opera was broadcasted worldwide by the German internet television Klassik TV.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Mr. Osokins is a passionate advocate of contemporary piano music, working intensively with composers to initiate the creation of new music for the piano. Alongside with solo piano compositions, Andrejs has premiered two piano concerts that were dedicated to him: Juris Karlsons\u2019 Symphony-Concerto (also known as Symphony No. 2, 2019) and Zigmars Liepins\u2019 Piano Concerto (2023).<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Mr. Osokins is the founder and artistic director of the Osokins Freedom Festival for Ukraine. Over the years, it has grown from a mini-festival to a large-scale and well-known event in Latvia, offering a diverse program of concerts, masterclasses, topical talks, musicians\u2019 meetings and more. The festival initiates new collaborations, concert programs and charity events, becoming a meeting point and a significant cultural event in Riga for professionals and audiences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">In 2008 Mr. Osokins was awarded with \u201cThe Great Music Award\u201d, which is the highest form of state recognition in the field of music in Latvia. In 2023 Andrejs Osokins was awarded highest Latvian state award \u2013 \u201cThe Order of the Three Stars\u201d for the organization of charity activities and concerts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">* * *<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">VERE MUSIC ACADEMY is an ongoing program of master classes by VERE MUSIC FUND. It offers Ukrainian performers access to the best educational practices, for which they used to have to spend a lot of time, effort, and money. But now it is possible to attend master classes by world-renowned teachers and musicians without leaving Ukraine \u2013 absolutely free of charge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">VERE MUSIC FUND is a charitable fund established in 2017 by Tetiana Verevska. The Fund provides grants to Ukrainian musicians to participate in international competitions and master classes, and implements festival projects and educational initiatives.
