Classes are held without an audience, but students, teachers, and professional musicians are welcome to come and listen to their colleagues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Concert and Meet &amp; Greet with Lukas Stasevskij (cello) will take place at VERE MUSIC HUB\u00a0 (Kyiv, , 21\/8 Malopidvalna str.) after the master class. Admission to the event is free with prior registration:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/28PvGaEk4vEMrrfz5\"><span class=\"s1\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/28PvGaEk4vEMrrfz5<\/span><\/a>.<br \/>\nThe event will feature a pre-premiere screening of the feature-length documentary \u201cMy Ukrainian Rhapsody\u201d, which Lukas filmed in Ukraine during the war while exploring the Ukrainian part of his identity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The list of active participants of the master class will be made public, and the schedule of classes will be sent to all registered participants 1-2 days before the master class.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The master class is part of the VERE MUSIC ACADEMY program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Selection of active participants based on videos. The video must be recorded after April 1, 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Applications can be sent by April 24, 2026, to academy@vere.fund.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">What should be in the application:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">* Name.<br \/>\n* Last name.<br \/>\n* Date of birth (day, month, year).<br \/>\n* Where you are studying (educational institution, city, country).<br \/>\n* Class\/course.<br \/>\n* Teacher(s).<br \/>\n* Mobile phone.<br \/>\n* E-mail.<br \/>\n* Facebook page \/ Plus professional Facebook page (if available).<br \/>\n* YouTube channel.<br \/>\n* The repertoire you would like to work on during the master class.<br \/>\n* Please add a few of your videos (YouTube links only) made after April 1, 2025. The videos do not necessarily have to illustrate the repertoire to be worked on at the master class \u2013 they can be any other piece.<br \/>\n* Please add your creative bio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The musicians who will take an active part in the master class, as well as the schedule of classes, will be chosen by the mentor. We will announce this information 1-2 days before the master class.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">* * *<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Lukas Stasevskij is a Finnish cellist and film director of Ukrainian descent. He studied at the Sibelius Academy \u2013 University of the Arts Helsinki (Finland) and the Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel (Switzerland) under the guidance of Arto Noras, Martti Rousi, and Ivan Monigetti.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The musician has performed at the most prestigious music festivals in Finland \u2013 the Naantali Music Festival, the Turku Music Festival, the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, and the Mikkeli Music Festival. In 2011, he won the fourth prize at the Witold Lutos\u0142awski International Competition, and in 2013, he won the Penderecki Prize at the International Paulo Cello Competition. He also worked as a resident chamber musician at Lincoln Center in New York.<br \/>\nAs a cultural figure, he is best known as the founder and artistic director of the Game Music Collective \u2014 Europe\u2019s first professional video game music orchestra.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In 2021, Lukas moved to Ukraine to explore the Ukrainian part of his identity and study film directing. After the full-scale invasion began, he remained in the country and began filming his debut feature-length documentary &#8220;My Ukrainian Rhapsody&#8221;. Since the start of the war, he has been performing concerts for military personnel and civilians in various regions of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Together with his brother, pianist and journalist Justas Stasevskij, and his sister, conductor Dalia Stasevska, the musician received the Finnish honorary award \u201cEuropean of the Year in Finland\u201d in 2025 for his cultural activities in support of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">* * *<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">VERE MUSIC ACADEMY is an ongoing program of master classes by VERE MUSIC FUND. It offers Ukrainian performers access to the best educational practices, for which they used to have to spend a lot of time, effort, and money. But now it is possible to attend master classes by world-renowned teachers and musicians without leaving Ukraine \u2013 absolutely free of charge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">VERE MUSIC FUND is a charitable fund established in 2017 by Tetiana Verevska. The Fund provides grants to Ukrainian musicians to participate in international competitions and master classes, and implements festival projects and educational initiatives.
