Terms and conditions of the Festival-competition:
Violinists and performers on bowed string instruments (viola, cello, double bass) are welcome to
participate.

Festival-competition Dates:
1st round: September 7-14th – distance Festival-competition (by videos).
2nd round: final (offline) – October 6th, Kyiv; October 7th – awards ceremony, gala concert. National Philharmonic of Ukraine (Kyiv).
The results of the first remove round of the Festival-competition will be announced on September 16-17th. After the final results of the first round, the participants of the final, second round will receive an invitation with detailed information. The email will be sent to the email address specified in the Application Form.
The Awards Ceremony and gala concert where the winners of the First International Festival-competition named after Bohodar Kotorovych «MAESTRO-FEST» will perform, will take place on October 7th, 2021 in one of the most prestigious hall of Ukraine — The Lysenko Hall of Columns in the National Philharmonic of Ukraine (Kyiv).
The winners of the Festival-competition will be invited to participate in the XVI International Art Festival «Dialogues of Cultures» (2022). The winners will also be invited to participate in creative cooperation with the Kyiv Chamber Ensemble “Contrasts Kyiv-Classic”. The age group of each participant should be determined based on his/her age on the opening day of the Festival-competition (September 7th, 2021).
Financial conditions:
— Participation in the Festival-competition is free (no admission fee);
— The organizers of the Competition will cover (if needed) the expenses for accommodation for those participants who were invited to the second round and who will come to Kyiv for the final round and the gala concert (October 6-7th, 2021).
Namely:
October 6th – arrival to Kyiv, checking in. Participation in the finale.
October 7th – Awards Ceremony, laureates concert, master classes.
October 8th – departure.
Travel tickets expenses should be covered by the party that is sending the participant.

1st round
— Etude or Caprice for solo violin;
— Virtuosic piece;
2nd round
— Virtuosic piece or the 1st (or 2nd-3rd) part of classical/romantic concert;
or
— Virtuosic piece or the 1st (or 2nd-3rd) part
of classical/romantic concert;
— Music piece of Ukrainian composers or composers of the participating country in their programs (up to 5 min.)*.
«MAESTRO»
All age groups:
Ist round
— Etude or Solo Caprice;
2nd round
— Music piece of the participant’s choice (up to 10
min.); or:
— Music piece of the participant’s choice (up to 10 min.);
— Music piece of Ukrainian composers or composers of the participating country in their programs (up to 5 min.)*.
*If desired, the participant of the second round in all nominations has the right to include in the second round a program performance of an Ukrainian composer music piece, or a piece of the participating country composer (duration — up to 5 minutes) for being awarded a special prize for the best performance of an Ukrainian composer music piece, or a piece of the participating country composer. All the pieces have to be performed by memory. Music pieces composed for performance with accompaniment must also be performed with accompaniment.
