Dmytro Udovychenko (violin) is the winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition 2024!

For the first time in history, a Ukrainian violinist wins the First Prize at Queen Elisabeth Competition! Dmytro Udovychenko!

Second prize – Joshua Brown.
Third prize – Elli Choi.
Fourth prize – Kevin Zhu.
Fifth prize – Julian Rhee.

Over the past decade, not a single Elizabeth violin competition has been held without Ukrainian winners: in 2015, Oleksii Semenenko and Eva Rabchevska rocked the finals and charged Ukrainian musicians with the desire for international recognition for a long time.

This is the second consecutive top victory for Ukrainians in international violin competitions: Bohdan Lutz won the First Prize at the prestigious Concours Long Thibaud in Paris at the end of 2023.
