Yuliia Zasimova

Yuliia Zasimova studied at the Luhansk College of Culture and Arts (class of Liudmyla Manasian) and the Ukrainian National Academy of Music (class of Professor Mariia Stefiuk). From 2018 to 2020, she was a member of the international opera studio at Opernhaus Zurich (Switzerland).

In 2018, she sang the role of Areteia in the opera “Alcide” by Dmytro Bortniansky at the LvivMozArt festival under the direction of conductor Oksana Lyniv. The same year she made her debut at the Opernhaus Zurich as the Fairy in the opera “Hansel and Gretel” by Engelbert Humperdinck. During her internship at the opera studio, she sang the parts of Poussette in Manon by Jules Massenet and Barbarini in Le nozze di Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

In 2021, the singer became a soloist at the Kyiv Opera Theatre. She debuted on the stage of the theatre in the role of Juliet in the opera “Romeo and Juliet” by Charles Gounod.

In 2022 she received the third prize at the International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition (Poland) and the First Prize at the Joan Pons International Singing Competition (Spain).

She received special prizes at the 12th Klaudia Taev Competition for Young Opera Singers (2021, Estonia) and The Opera Crown – Tbilisi International Voice Competition (2018, Georgia).

The singer is a guest soloist of the National House of Music (Ukraine) and Opernhaus Zurich (Switzerland).
