Yuriy Hadzetskyy

Laureat of the Queen Elizaeth Competition: Voice 2018 (Brussels, Belgium), winner of a Special Prize (Golden Medal with high distinction) at the 2018 Berliner International Music Competition, laureate of 9th Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition and winner of an oratorio prize (Dublin, Ireland), prizewinner of the society of opera and ballet lovers affiliated with the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera for the best singer among second-stage participants of the of 10th International Stanislaw Moniuszko Vocal Competition (Warsaw, Poland), recognition award of the 12th International Art Song Competition Stuttgart 2020.

Member of the Accademia Rossiniana 2021 in Pesaro, Italy. From season 2019/2020 is member of the International Opera Studio Zürich. In seasons 2017-2019 was a participant of Young Talents Training Programme “Opera Academy” in The Grand Theatre – Polish National Opera in Warsaw, Poland.

Worked with Olga Pasichnyk, Eytan Pessen, Matthias Rexroth, Izabela Kłosińska, Helmut Deutsch, Brenda Hurley, Tobias Truniger, Hedwig Fassbender, René Massis, Tomasz Konieczny, Sergei Leiferkus, Paul Plummer, Thomas Lausmann, Paola Larini, Florence Daguerre de Hureaux.

Member of the 2019 Voice Residency of the Académie du Festival d’Aix en-Provence (France) where worked with Edith Wiens, Raphaël Pichon, Marcelo Amaral. In 2019 was a member of Lyric Opera Studio Weimar where sang Il Conte in Le nozze di Figaro. In 2018 sang the role of Achilla in Giulio Cesare under the baton of Paul Esswood in the Grand Theatre Poznań (Poland).

Worked with baroque music masters as Paul Esswood, Angelika Mots, Marek Toporowski, Tomash Slusarczyk, Paweł Osuchowski, Peter Benovich, Nazar Kozhuhar. In May 2015 made his operatic début at the Lviv National Opera as Don Giovanni in the same-named opera of W. A. Mozart.

From February to July 2018 was a Fellow of the Program of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland “Gaude Polonia”.

Graduated from Lviv National Music Academy named after Mykola Lysenko in 2016. Works under the supervision of Olga Pasichnyk from 2017.
