VERE MUSIC ACADEMY announces a program of master classes for 2020

We are kicking off with a master class by Ukrainian violinist, winner of the Second prize of the Queen Elisabeth Competition 2015 Oleksiy Semenenko on September 6 at 10 am in the Kyiv House of Scientists. In the evening of the same day at 6 pm we will meet with the musician in the informal setting to discuss the development of his personality and career.

September 27 – 29, 2020 master-class of Milana Cherniavska a piano professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria and a professor at the International Academy of Music in the Principality of Liechtenstein. On September 27, at the end of the first day of the master class, the professor will meet with students and teachers of Ukrainian music schools, colleges, and academies. Free entrance.

On September 30, at 4 pm, professor Milana Chernyavska, her students and selected participants of the master class will participate in the concert at the Record House of the Ukrainian Radio. Free entrance.

In November, we are planning a long-awaited Rethink Piano master class by the famous Ukrainian pianist Stanislav Khrystenko. This event is a must for anyone planning to participate in the international music competitions! This is a detailed interactive guide to the behind-the-scenes of the competition life – from the motivation to participate to what to do after the concert of the winners. And the unique competition simulator gives you the opportunity to try yourself as a member of the jury and understand who and why, sometimes quite unexpectedly, becomes a favorite in the competition. The exact date of this master class will be announced in August.

December 19 – quartet master class of Sergei Bresler, the second violin of The Jerusalem Quartet.
December 26 – Olexiy Gryniuk (piano).

VERE MUSIC ACADEMY is a permanent master class program from VERE MUSIC FUND. It helps open Ukrainian performers’ access to best educational practices that used to cost them a lot of time, effort and money. But now it is possible to get to master classes of world-famous teachers and musicians without leaving Ukraine. it is also absolutely free.

In addition, the VERE MUSIC ACADEMY program includes one-day master classes from well-known Ukrainian artists who have already received worldwide recognition. When they come to perform in Ukraine, they set aside one day in their schedule to work with Ukrainian students.

The project is implemented in cooperation with the UKR Artists agency.

The number of musicians who will actively participate in the master class will be determined by the teacher.

After the master class, Oleksii Semenenko will meet with students and teachers of Ukrainian music schools, colleges, and academies. Free entrance.
