Registration
Starts on Tuesday 4 June 2024, here you will find links to registration for the regional championships as well as information about submitting video recordings in class 3 and class C.
Participation fees
NOK 575 for soloists and chamber music groups of up to three participants.
For a larger chamber music group: NOK 575 plus NOK 100 per musician beyond three.
Participants can unsubscribe at any time. Paid participant quota is not refunded.
Participation
Classes 1, 2, A and B qualify through withdrawals arranged in one of the country’s regions ( Tromsø, Trondheim, Ålesund, Bergen, Sandnes, Kristiansand, Larvik and Oslo), where qualification rounds are arranged.
Participants can enroll in their respective soloist class and in addition in a chamber music ensemble. If a participant in an ensemble falls ill, this can be replaced if this is applied for with a medical certificate, while the replacement meets the age requirement.
Anyone who has a fixed residential address in Norway or has stayed in Norway for at least six months can participate.
Participation in classes 1 and 2, A and B is done in relation to regional/county affiliation.
The disciplines in 2024–2025 are
Class 1 and 2: Piano, guitar, woodwind, brass, percussion and open class (accordion, harp and church organ)
Class A and B: Chamber music
Class 3: All disciplines
Class C: Chamber music
Age groups, soloist
Class 1: For the age group 12–14 years. Important: born in 2010–2012.
Class 2: From the age group 15–18 years. Important: born in 2006–2009.
Age groups, chamber music
Class A ensemble: Maximum average age is 14 years. Participants can be between the ages of 8 and 16, i.e. born in the period 2008 – 2016. Important: The average age cannot be less than 12 years.
Class B ensemble: The average age must be 15–18 years. Important: Members must have been born in 2006–2009.
Teachers or other adults do not have the opportunity to be part of a chamber music ensemble. The ensembles must not be conducted.
