The master class is held within the framework of the VERE MUSIC ACADEMY 2021 program.

Active participation is free of charge. Selection by videos. The video must be recorded after September 1, 2019. The link to YouTube and the application form in MS Excel file can be emailed until 2021 May 24 to academy@vere.fund. Please attach your CV to the application in MS Word format.The number of ensembles that will take an active part in the master class will be determined by the teacher.

Antonii Baryshevskyi was born in Kyiv. His teachers at the Dmytro Kabalevskyi Children’s Music School # 14 were Alina Sorkina and Rita Donska.

After his graduation from the Mykola Lysenko Kyiv Specialized Music Boarding School in 2007, he entered the Piotr Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, where he also had an internship in the class of Professor Valeriy Kozlov. In 2013 – 2015 he studied at the École Normale de Musique de Paris “Alfred Cortot” in the class of Professor Marian Rybicki.

He participated in the master classes conducted by Alfred Brendel, Daniel Pollack, Richard Hood and Lily Dorfman. At the age of 16, he became a laureate-nominee of the All-Ukrainian Program “Man of the Year” for the first time, and a year later participated in the European Radio youth concert in Munich.

Since 2012 he is a soloist of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.

He is a winner of more than thirty international competitions, including Premio Internazionale Pianistico A. Scriabin in Grosseto, Italy (1st Prize, 2020); Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv, Israel (1st Prize, 2014); Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano, Italy (2nd Prize, 2011); International Piano Competition Prize “Jaén”, Spain (1st Prize, 2009), ISAM Piano Competition in Germany (1st Prize, 2006); Volodymyr Horowitz International Piano Competition in Kyiv, Ukraine (2nd Prize, 2005).

He has participated in the following festivals: Klavier-Festival Ruhr (2012, 2014, Germany), Projetto Martha Argerich (Lugano, Switzerland, 2014), Busoni festival (Bolzano, Italy, 2012), Musica Insieme Fondazione (Bologna, 2017; Varignan, 2018), MDR Musicsommer Festival (Eisenach, Germany, 2015) and others.

Antonii regularly performs with solo concerts and is accompanied by a symphony orchestra in Ukraine and abroad. He has played with leading European orchestras such as the Munich Radio Orchestra, the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, the Heidelberg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Granada City Orchestra, under the direction of Asher Fish, Frederick Schauslin, Howard Griffiths, Douglas Bostock, Gerd Albrecht, Roman Coffman, Marcus Bosch, Valentine Uryupin, Oksana Lyniv, Kiril Karabyts and many others.

He has toured almost all countries in Europe, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Morocco and the USA. In particular, he performed at the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Konzerthaus Berlin та Berliner Philharmoniker, Kölner Philharmonie, London Wigmore Hall, Bologna Municipal Theater and others.

Antonii made TV and radio recordings in Ukraine, Serbia, Italy, Denmark, Spain. He has recorded a solo program at the Naxos Studio (2010); a disc with works of Mussorgsky and Scriabin, released in September 2015 on Avi-music, and a disc with all sonatas by Galina Ustvolskaya, released in 2017. In 2018, Antonii participated in the release of two studio records with works of Dmitry Shostakovich and music by Lily Boulanger.

It helps open Ukrainian performers’ access to best educational practices that used to cost them a lot of time, effort and money. But now it is possible to get to master classes of world-famous teachers and musicians without leaving Ukraine. it is also absolutely free.

In addition, the VERE MUSIC ACADEMY program includes one-day master classes from well-known Ukrainian artists who have already received worldwide recognition. When they come to perform in Ukraine, they set aside one day in their schedule to work with Ukrainian students.

The project is implemented in cooperation with the UKR Artists agency.
