Arsenii Stavytskyi was born in 2000 in Kyiv to a family of professional musicians. At the age of 6 he entered the Kosenko children’s music school № 3 learning cello in the class of thr teacher Tamara Polyakova.
In 2010 he entered the Kyiv Lysenko Secondary Specialized Music School, the class of associate professor of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, Head of the string instruments department of the Kyiv Lysenko Specialized Music School Olena Chervova. In 2013 he continued his studies at the Kharkiv Specialized Music Boarding School in the class of Professor, Candidate of Art History Olena Shchelkanovtseva. In 2017, he entered the Ivan Kotlyarevsky Kharkiv National University of Arts, continuing his studies in the class of Olena Shchelkanovtseva.
Arsenii Stavytskyi has already won international competitions:
First Prize at the II International Eugene Stankovich Competition (Kyiv, Ukraine, 2013)
In March 2016, he won the First Prize and a Special Prize of the Art Without Borders competition (Basel, Switzerland, 2016).
In May 2019, Arseniy participated in the semifinals of the II International Cello Competition “Cello Klaipeda” (Klaipeda, Lithuania).
Third Prize at the XII Antonio Janigro International Cello Competition (Zagreb, Croatia, 2020).
Grand Prix at the International Music Competition “Odesa Music Olymp” (Ukraine, 2020).
Arsenii has active concert life – he has performed in Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the “Wonderful Youth Orchestra, Summer tour-2013”. He has performed as a soloist and ensemble member in German cities: Frankfurt am Main, Darmstadt, Kaiserslautern, Weilrod-Hasselbasy, Wiesbaden as part of the II International Music Festival “Classic for Peace” (2016) and at the International Festival “InStrumFest” solo and ensemble (Kremenets, Ukraine, 2020).
Arsenii had played in an ensemble with musicians such as Stanislav Kalinin, Anna Khmara, Naoko Sonoda, Martti Rosie, Oleksandr Brusylovskyi, Dmytro Udovychenko, as well as with the orchestras of the Kharkiv Regional Philharmonic, the Rivne Regional Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, the Kyiv Chamber Orchestra, Zaporizhzhya Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra of the Kotlyarevsky Kharkiv National University of Arts, Symphony Orchestra of the Lysenko Kharkiv National Opera and Ballet Theater, Slobozhansky Youth Orchestra. As a soloist and conductor he performed with the symphony orchestra of the Kharkiv Specialized Music Boarding School.
In September 2018, Arsenii took part in the International Cello Workshops in Kronberg (Germany).
In addition to playing cello, Arsenii also mastered the art of opera and symphony conducting from 2015 to 2017 in the class of Roman Ushchapovskyi. In March 2017, Arsenii made his debut as a conductor with a symphony by Sergei Prokofiev with the symphony orchestra of the Kharkiv Secondary Specialized Music Boarding School at the school’s concert.
From 2013 to 2017, the musician was engaged in composition in the class of Honored Artist of Ukraine Lyudmyla Shukailo. In 2017 he won the First Prize in the category “composition” at the XIV International Competition “Kharkiv Assemblies”. Arsenii’s works have been performed at international festivals: “Visiting Gogol”, “Kharkiv Assemblies”, “Classic for Peace”, “Music is our common home”, “InStrumFest”.
Since 2017, Arseniy has been receiving grant support from the VERE MUSIC FUND.
