Dmytro Semykras

He was born in 2001 in Sumy City. He studies at the Dmytro Bortnyansky Sumy College of Arts and Culture (class of Svitlana Morozova).

The musician took part in master classes of leading pianists and teachers in Ukraine and abroad. Just to name a few, master classes of Oleksiy Hryniuk, professors Vanessa Latarsh and Milana Chernyavska.

He has repeatedly won prizes at international competitions. In particular, he is a laureate of the Volodymyr Horowitz International Competition for Young Pianists (Ukraine, 2011, 2016, 2019 – 6th, 3rd and 2nd prizes), the Krainev International Competition for Young Pianists  (Ukraine, 2021 – 1st prize) and the International Competition “Mercy , Maestro!” (Belgium, 2021 – 2nd prize).

Dmytro has performed as a soloist at international festivals in Kaunas, Lviv, Palma de Mallorca and Stockholm.

The musician is the winner of the Yamaha 2021 scholarship program. Since 2019 he has been receiving grant support from VERE MUSIC FUND.
