Nataliia Kukhar

Nataliia is a young Ukrainian opera singer with a coloratura mezzo-soprano. She was invited as soloist to the Opera Krakowska, Teatr Wielki – National Opera of Poland, Polska Opera Królewska (Warsaw).

From the season 2021/2022 she’s a member of the OperAvenir International Opera Studio in the Theater Basel. Since 2018, Nataliia has been participating in the training program for young talents “Opera Academy” at the National Opera of Poland in Warsaw (mentor – Olga Pasichnyk). She has worked with such masters of opera as Mariusz Kwieczen, Isabella Klosinska, Tomasz Konieczny, Thomas Lausmann, Rene Massis, Lech Naperala, Eitan Pessen, Matthias Rexroth, Hedwisch Fassbender, Eva Zeiner.

She participated in the master classes of Montserrat Caballe (Spain), Olga Pasichnyk (Ukraine – Poland), Richard Resch (Austria) and Ursula Schongals (Germany).

She has toured in Denmark, Spain, Germany, Norway, Poland, Finland, Switzerland and Sweden.

In August 2020, she debuted at the Festival of Ancient Music in Innsbruck (Austria) in the opera “The Punished Wicked Man” by Alessandro Melanie, as Cloridoro.

In March 2020, she performed on the stage of the Polska Opera Królewska (Warsaw) as Eduiege in Handel’s opera Rodelinda (conductor Krzysztof Garstka, director Andrzej Klimczak).

In January 2020, she made her stage debut at the Teatr Wielki, Poland’s National Opera, as Sister in Prokofiev’s Fire Angel (conductor Kazushi Ono, directed by Mariusz Trelinski).

In November 2019, she sang Rosina’s part in Rossini’s opera “The Barber of Seville” (conductor Tomasz Tokarchyk, director Jerzy Stur).

In August 2019, she was a member of the Exzellenz-Labor Gesang / Oper Opera Laboratory (Vickersheim, Germany). She has worked with Hedwish Fassbender (vocal technique and German repertoire), Rene Massis (French repertoire), Fausto Nardi (Baroque, Mozart), and Francesco Massimi (belcanto).

Since 2020, she has been collaborating with the Polska Opera Królewska Regia Polonia Chapel of Ancient Instruments directed by Krzysztof Garsta. In December 2020, with the symphony orchestra of the National Opera of Poland directed by Patrick Fournierier participated in the recording of the New Year’s concert. In September 2020, she performed with the Baroque Collegium 1685 orchestra directed by Agnieszka Zarska. In May 2019, she made her debut with the orchestra of the National Polish Radio directed by Michał Claus.

In January 2017, she made her stage debut at the Palau de la Musica Catalana with the Lviv National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.

From February to July 2018 she was a fellow of the program of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland Gaude Polonia. Since 2019 she has been receiving grant support from VERE MUSIC FUND.
