Savva Zolotarov

He was born in Kyiv in 2011. He started playing music at the age of eight. In 2020, he entered the Mykola Lysenko Kyiv Music Lyceum (class of Maryna Kalinina). Six months later he made his debut on the stage of the Column Hall of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine in the concert “Dedication to Chopin”.

In 2021, he took part in the International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz (Debut group). In 2022, he took part in the VI Manhattan International Music Competition, and the III International Festival-Competition “Harmony of Talents”.

He was invited to participate in the ArtDialog Festival (Switzerland).

In 2023, Savva won First prize at the Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart International Competition (Vienna) in the C2 category and was selected and studied at the Musica Mundi Summer Chamber Music Academy (Belgium). He participated in master classes by Jacques Rouvier (France), Andreas Froehlich (Germany), and Irena Kogan (Israel).

In 2023, the young musician made his debut with the orchestra at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine (conducted by Serhiy Solonko), and also took part in the national television project “I Am a Virtuoso” and played with the Symphony Orchestra of the National Radio of Ukraine (conducted by Volodymyr Sheiko).

Savva devotes a lot of time to chamber music, collaborating with young Ukrainian musicians Mykola Liubenko (cello), Oleksii Yaremenko (flute), and Akim Kravchenko (violin).
