Yuriy Nemirovskyi

Yurii was born in 1984 in the city of Dnipro. In 2002 he completed his studies at the Kharkiv Secondary Special Music Boarding School, in 2007 he got his master’s degree at the Ivan Kotlyarevsky National Kharkiv University of Arts in the clarinet class of Professor Valery Alkhov, Honored Artist of Ukraine. In 2011 he completed his assistantship of the internship at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, class of Professor, candidate of art history Roman Vovk.

He took part in master classes of leading clarinettists, including Professor of the National Conservatory of Versailles, soloist of the Paris National Opera Philip Cooper, soloist of the European Chamber Orchestra, teacher at the Geneva Conservatory Roma Guillaume, Professor of the Gnesin Academy of Music, Honored Artist of Ukraine Ivan Mozhovenko.

Yurii is the winner of the Open Clarinet Competition “Selmer-Paris in Ukraine”, Kyiv (1999, Second prize); National Competition of Performers on Wooden Wind Instruments, Kherson (2002, First prize); D. Bida International Competition, Lviv (2005, First prize and 2009, First prize); George Dima International Competition, Cluj-Napoca, Romania (2011, Third prize).

He is a scholar of the Volodymyr Spivakov International Charitable Foundation and the Fund of the Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. He receives grant support from the VERE MUSIC FUND fund.

He has performed as a soloist with many symphony and chamber ensembles in Ukraine and abroad, including the State Symphony Orchestra of Georgia, Camerata Transylvania Orchestra (Romania), Kyiv Chamber Orchestra, National Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine, Kharkiv Academic Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra “Virtuosos of Lviv”,, Slobozhansky Youth Academic Symphony Orchestra and others. He participates in many festivals of chamber and contemporary music, his repertoire has works of different epochs and genres for clarinet as part of a chamber ensemble, as well as solo works. From 2004 to 2009 he was a soloist of the clarinet group of the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Kharkiv Philharmonic, from 2009 – concertmaster of the group in the National Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine. he is a member of the contemporary music ensemble Ukho ensemble (Kyiv). Since 2016 he is a member of the ensemble NotaBene Chamber group.
