Ukrainian pianist Valeriia Shulga was born in Kyiv. She graduated the Reinhold Gliere Musical College (class of Professor Iryna Havrylyuk) and National Musical Academy of Ukraine (class of Professor Anatolii Gudko). Valeriia improved her skills on numerous masterclasses with Professors Bernd Goetzke, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Marta Gulyas, Robert Kulek, Thomas Hoppe.
In 2019 Valeriia got a teaching position of chamber music class in Kyiv Reinhold Gliere Academy of Music.
As a soloist Valeriia has performed with the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra, Chernihiv Philharmonic, Harmonia Nobile Chamber Orchestra. Her concert geography as a chamber musician comprises of concerts on main venues in Ukraine – National Philharmonic of Ukraine, Odesa Philharmonic, Lviv and Kharkiv Opera, performances at MonteLeon Chamber Music Festival (Spain), Randspiele Festival (Germany), Ciurlionis Museum (Lithuania), Zeist Music Days (Netherlands) also in Italy, Austria, Poland.
Pianist regularly performs on such festivals in Ukraine as Kyiv Music Fest, Gogolfest, “Two days and two nights of new music”, “Premiers of the season”, Bouquet Kyiv Stage.
She is a part of duo Sonoro with violinist Andrii Pavlov, established as constant ensemble more than decade ago. The duo is a prizewinner of of international chamber music competitions, among them “Tallinn 2021” International Piano Chamber Music Competition (2021, Estonia), Plovdiv International Chamber Music Competition (2017, Bulgaria), Salieri-Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition (2016, Italy), Johannes Brahms International Competition (2015, Austria), Stasys Vainiunas Competition for Piano and Chamber Ensembles (2014, Lithuania).
