Oleksii Kanke studies at the Kyiv National Musical Academy of Ukraine, in the class of Рrofessor Natalia Grydneva who taught many remarkable Ukrainian pianists (Vadym Kholodenko, Оleh Polyansky, Oleksiy Grynyuk, Oleksandr Grynyuk, Mykhailo Danchenko, Oleksandr Poliakov and others).
Oleksii is a prize winner of various international competitions: The International Vladimir Krainev Competition for Young Pianists (Kharkiv), The Astana Piano Passion (Kazakhstan), The International Competition for Young Pianists “A Step Towards Mastery” (St. Petersburg). In October 2015, he won the 1st Prize at The International Piano Competition in Memory of Emil Gilels (Odessa). In 2016 Oleksii was awarded the 1st Prize in the Intermediate group and EMCY Prize at the Vladimir Horowitz Piano Competition.
In the season 2015/2016, he performed with the Odessa Philharmonic orchestra, National Presidential Orchestra, Chernihiv Philharmonic orchestra. Oleksiy Kanke has played many concerts in Ukraine and took part in music festivals in Poland and Germany.
