Tetiana Shafran

Tetyana was born in Kyiv. She started playing the piano at the age of three. She graduated from the Lysenko Kyiv Specialized Music School and the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine taught by professors Borys Arkhimovych and Andriy Vasin (2012, Ukraine). She was also taught by Professor Oksana Yablonska at her Piano Academy (2018, Spain – Israel).

Tatiana is a laureate of dozens of international piano competitions. Her awards include First Prize and Gold Medal at the Olga Kern International Piano Competition (USA, New Mexico, 2019), First Prize at the Concours International de Piano France-Amériques (France, Paris, 2019), First Prize at the Antonio Napolitano International Piano Competition (Italy, Salerno, 2017), First Prize at the Carl Filtsch International Festival Competition (Sibiu, Romania, 2016), First Prize at the Emil Gilels International Piano Competition (Odessa, Ukraine, 2015), Second Prize at the Princess Lalla Meryem International Piano Competition (Rabat, Morocco, 2016) , Second Prize at the International Piano Competition ‘Mauro Paolo Monopoli Prize’ (Barletta, Italy, 2015), Third Prize at the VII Parnassos International Piano Competition (Monterey, Mexico, 2018), Third Prize at the 18 José Iturbi Music International Competition (Spain, Valencia, 2013) and many others.

She has performed in prestigious concert halls in Europe, South and North America, Africa, Australia and Asia – in particular, at the Grand Theater (Shenzhen, China), Lindeman Hall (Oslo, Norway), Llevellyn Hall (Canberra, Australia), the Great Hall of the Palau de la Musica (Valencia, Spain), Mohammed V Theater (Rabat, Morocco), Sala Cecilia Meireles (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), and Congress Hall (Gabala, Azerbaijan).

As a soloist she has played with many orchestras and conductors, such as maestro Roberto Minchuk (Brazil), Dmitry Yablonsky (USA), Hobart Earl (Venezuela), Franz Krager (USA), Gints Glinka (Latvia), Mykola Dyadyura (Ukraine), and Murad Anamadov (Russia).

The main engagements of 2021-2022 include concerts with the Durban Philharmonic KZN (Durban, South Africa), tours of the United States with the NM Symphony Orchestra, and the release of a CD on the Steinway & Sons label in New York, USA.
