Today our pianist Dmytro Choni received the Bronze Medal of the most prestigious piano competition in the world – The Cliburn International Piano Competition (Fort Worth, Texas, USA)!
There is no more powerful leap in an international career for a young pianist than a victory at Fort Worth. There is no better opportunity to declare to the whole world that Ukraine is a great musical country.
This year, the largest number of applications for the entire 60-year history of the competition was submitted – 388 participants from 51 countries. Among them, 72 musicians were selected to participate in a face-to-face selection audition.
Dmytro became the only Ukrainian among 30 pianists who were admitted to the first round. This is an extremely important victory in the international struggle for Ukraine – victory in a real “struggle for survival”!
